How does it work ?
Each solar panel will typically be comprised of a number of water-filled tubes, the water being heated by the sun as it passes through the panel.

A special fluid is heated within a closed circuit to a temperature of up to 210 degrees Celsius and pumped into a heat exchanger. This heat is then stored in a hot water storage tank.
The bigger the tank and better insulated then the more efficient the system will be.
This is a well-proven and simple technology. The most efficient designs of solar panel will be more expensive, but solar water heating panels have a long life and are relatively inexpensive with very low-maintenance.
Heat can still be generated even when the sun is obscured by cloud. Even on cloudy days, thermal systems can still work to a large percentage of their capacity through the diffuse light they receive.
Most solar thermal installations can be completed in two days. A standard installation with a hot water cylinder change would go something like this.
Day One
Day Two
Once the installation has been completed a further call to check that the system is working efficiently
